PMag Dust Covers

When I announced that I use them to keep my ammo fresh I got pounded by the cool kids and a wedgie that will never come out!

I might just throw mine out, it seems to be an answer to a problem I don't really have. Wonder what the squaddies from the sand box might make of them though...

They are intended for long term storage of loaded mags. Testing has shown no feed lip deformation over extended time(several years) but keeping the pressure of the spring off the feed lips during storage is never a bad thing.

Depends on what the pmag is for a bolt action hunting rifle yeah keep it on the spare mag, mags for a range toy I usually leave somewhere in a drawer.

This. If we actually had Pmags we could put 30 rounds in, they might be of some use to us!

The spring pressure is constant regardless of rounds loaded, so it is of use to us with limited capacity mags.

Since the uncompressed length of a mag spring is much greater than the length of the mag it is already pre-compressed somewhat, but the spring force is not constant from top to bottom--it won't vary much but there'd be some difference.
