This. If we actually had Pmags we could put 30 rounds in, they might be of some use to us!They are intended for long term storage of loaded mags. Testing has shown no feed lip deformation over extended time(several years) but keeping the pressure of the spring off the feed lips during storage is never a bad thing.

For 30 rds maybe. But, I don't think it makes any difference for us with 5 rds in the mag.
I miss the Gen 2 mags where you could clip them on the bottom![]()
Since the uncompressed length of a mag spring is much greater than the length of the mag it is already pre-compressed somewhat, but the spring force is not constant from top to bottom--it won't vary much but there'd be some difference.The spring pressure is constant regardless of rounds loaded, so it is of use to us with limited capacity mags.
