I kept my dye in big, clear plastic bottles in case I need to use it again. As I understand it, there’s no “good way” to dispose of the dye. It does not stain stainless steel (wife’s pots still look good!), but I wouldn’t trust to dump it down a porcelain toilet or sink.

That is what I was concerned about, so basement floor drain it is!!

I hope to have a chance to work on this over the holidays!!
