Hmmmmmm. Other offers pending but I will get back to you shortly.

the way things seems to be going...ill change my offer to 1 pmag for 2 beowulf mags if you put $50 in on top of it and cover shipping both ways...LOL

Here's my final thought... Get what you need, and not what you want. There's still plenty of magazines to go around, and if you have a few extra - help a buddy out with a fair price. The LAR15's are infinitely more useful at 10-rounds anyway, so there's really a finite limit as to how many 5/30 or 5/20-round polymer magazines a person needs.

I recently sold a pair of Lancer L5 5/30-rounders @ cost to someone who needed a pair for his HK, and some lucky CGN member was the recent beneficiary of a free .50 Beowulf magazine. I also nixed my .50 Beowulf pre-order back in December because I just don't need the magazines, and I figured someone else will benefit more.

Those prices are a joke and for real! Both! Ha, ha... yes PMAGS have flown off the shelves in the US due to the possibility of "pre-ban magazine grandfathering" similar to the AWB of 1994 in the USA. That huge demand simply shortens supply for Canada. Low supply, means hike the price.

Some people feel that's the right time to cash in on their "investments" and sell for 200-300% to double and triple their money. Hey, so long as their is demand, I say all the power to 'em! But I won't be buying any at those prices...

Just for fun me and a buddy did some drills at the range comparing 5/30 pmags with coupled 10 rd LAR pistol mags. In the end they were basically the same speed for reload/ergonmics and both perfectly reliable. So its really just looks and weight savings you're paying for. We tested with 1 AR15 and 1 XCR-L. Speed reloads, fast mag dumps, etc... So yah, I'm not drinking the coolaid. Just use what you've got available to you and have fun!

Agreed, any of the dozen mixed ar15 mags ive got all work the same, dh, pmag, lar, xcr ... if you gotta have them then waste your money, its just people taking advantage of others. Also cancelled my most rescent pmag order from questars cause i dont really need more pmags until the gen 3's start flowing.

You people are rediculous. IF you dont like it DONT buy it, simple as that. Its not ripping them off if they are sold out country wide and people need them. You have 2 choices, pay 40-50$ and suck it up.. OR wait until who knows when on a wait list for more to come to our suppliers up north. If something does happen where the export of them becomes illegal or stock dwindles then likely suppliers will be upping there prices to that anyways.

A local supplier did mention to me when I stopped in his shop the other day that when he does get stock in again, they'll be priced more in the $50 range, but again this isn't that hard of a concept to wrap our minds around... If you NEED them, then buy them at asking price... if you WANT them, wait for a good deal to come around, have all vendor sights open and hit refresh every minute and same for the EE, or look for substitutes. Nobody is making anyone pay ridiculous prices for PMAGs, its just an unfortunate time and pricing for those of us who wish to acquire some.

If I would have known this was going to happen, I would have bought 10 from Questar when they were $19.00 and they threw in a free mag... but hindsight is 20/20... I also would have bought, or for that matter got my parents to buy, as many shares as possible in Apple on December 12, 1980 @ $22.00/share, valued at $517.70 today... not to mention the stock has split three times since its IPO haha.

Who knows you might be saying this again in 3 months when they are priced at 70$ :p

This is much bigger than PMAG prices in the EE. This ban is going to encompass a swath of semi-auto firearms and may radically affect prices for years in Canada. It is a feeding frenzy in the USA right now. Read this report from P&D for a local example, but there is more to come and the inevitable affect is that prices will go higher if you are a firearms importer (we are not) and those prices will be passed to the consumer.

I bought a pile ( 200 ) of cheap pmags from Cheaper than Dirt several months ago. They are at my US address waiting for me to pin them and then bring them across the border. While your offer is tempting after much consideration I have decided if you send me a pallet of Toblerone bars I will send you two Beowulf mags.

Possibly prices will be higher temporarily but only until one of two things happen.

A) the ban bill goes ahead and US citizens get a kick in the nuts, then US manufactures will target Canada to sell there firearms to and prices go down. Unfortunately a ban in the US is unlikely as the people of the United States get to vote on new laws and they can't just force such an extreme law on the people of the US.

b) the ban gets the squash and US citizens put there pants back on and calm down and things return back to normal.

Very soon Canadians are going to panic and start buying guns up out of fear of prices and availability of US made firearms going in the dumpster here. But it will all calm down in the future.
