Hi all,
I was wondering what the going price is for "new in the package" FDE Pmags, non windowed version. I know they are practically impossible to find nowadays, and I know a guy who has some that are new in package he is willing to sell me. Due to the shortage, is his asking price of $45 reasonable?
(if I can get 'em at a reasonable price, ill pick up a few extra and sell them on EE for exactly what I paid for them...)
Thanks for the advice.
-Tom

Honestly we will see PMAGS coming into Canada again, I think $45 per mag is way too high.

Yeah, I'm just not convinced we'll see many in the short-term. LAR-15's are certainly a good alternative. $45 is a far cry from the $75-$100+ they're going for in the US. It's probably a $15-$20 premium, but if it's what one wants - they're kind of limited right now.

I would pay $100 for 30 round magazine.

When the PMAGS came out in Canada, I remember paying up to $60 per mag for them here. There was no shortage in the US, but there was a short supply in Canada. It has only been in the last two years that PMAG prices have approached reasonable in Canada, and they are still twice what they cost in the US. I agree with Navy Gunner, in that, we will see retail PMAGS again. At least one or two shipments, that have already been processed, or are enroute. Keep in mind that the PMAG market in Canada is relatively small, therefore most small gun stores, only stock a few. It was companies like Questar, and One Shot, that brought them to Canada in large bulk quantities, that drove down the prices. Now that the market in the US has dried up, those larger bulk quantities are unlikely, and therefore they are only likely to trickle in for at least the next 6 to 12 months. IMHO there will not be enough of them to keep prices down up here. Despite retailers attempting to be nice, I forsee prices creeping up on the few mags that come in. I don't think that it is unreasonable for PMAGS to be priced at $30 to $35 each, again soon. And at those prices they will be snatched up fast. Considering that they are the best SHTF magazine, I think every AR owner should have a stash, for that "just in case" scenario.

I remember when Questar held out bringing into Canada any PMags because it wasn't worth their effort for the profit. After the resources required to pin and import the mags, who up here would pay at least $40 each for the PMags?

aww you guys missed my deal, I sold 30 mags at $30/each. not a bad deal, I paid $31. and they came with magpul baseplates, how about that for a deal. I'm one of the very few people on EE that sell for less than I paid for.

The new Pmag is good for ar and 416?

That's what the indications are, although you probably mean HK MR223 (since the HK416 lowers are prohibited here). I don't believe these will work in the FN FS2000, although we'll have to find someone that can verify this when they start appearing.

I got my last 32 for $12/each. Was that wrong? ;)

They will not work. The lip they've added to prevent over insertion gets in the way. There are no Magpul magazines that will work with the FN unless you mod the mag of the stock.
