ordered some pmags online. one of the rivets hits the spring, causing a loud snapping sound when the spring bounces back up. can i removed the rivet to repair it or just send it back? hate to send just one mag back. i have a shop full of rivets at work to quickly repair it.

thanks hahaha.

disregard! i fixed it by pushing the mag spring all the way to the top from the bottom. couple snaps and slowly moved the spring down and reattached the ranger plate :)

stupid rivets anyways...

i thought i repaired it but after loading and unloading some 223 dummy rounds it makes the same snapping sound. the rivet hits the spring just slightly causing it to snap once the last round exits the mag. might send her in for a new one

You could also take the baseplate off, and the spring out then shorten the rivet protrusion a bit with a file, it only needs to stick out 2mm or so to fully catch the follower, it's probably sticking out over 1/8 inch and jabbing into the spring.
