Pmags at 2.5x the going rate?

Greedy? You bet. But you are also greedy too. You're looking to purchase a good product that is currently in short supply, where its future place is uncertain, and you are looking to buy it at the "going" rate when it is scarce.

Look at it this way: if PMAGs are really important to you, in a time of very high demand and relatively low supply, then "high" prices are your friend. Without "high" prices almost everyone would be quite content to sit on their magazines given the uncertainty of future purchases. "High" prices induce people to sell who wouldn't otherwise sell. Also Magpul has a huge incentive to pay workers OT to push out mags since they are "overpriced". Without "high" prices no one would have real incentive to sell to you. "High" prices are merely a reflection of reality, so #####ing is just yelling at the walls. "High" prices are what will ensure that the market stays liquid and that those who truly value these magazines will continue to be able to purchase them. Price ceilings will merely choke off supply.

Yes, you missed something: Economics 101 - Supply & Demand.

I personally do not understand some CGN'ers opinions on this. Typically pro gun people are ideologically conservative/neoliberal, except when it comes to gun related prices. Then they become socialists.

I'm not trying to sh*%t on your thread, but you're not the first member to complain about PMAG prices. And yes, I sold some of my extra PMAGs at inflated prices. They lasted 10 minutes on the EE.

Thanks DP, comments like these are what keep me coming back to CGN. There so few voices of reason now...

By the way, I watched your movies. I'm surprised there was even film then ;) Seriously though, I have seen ####'s exposure to the far north and it left me feeling inadequate  As a whole, modern society is so far from his self reliance it isn't funny.

Exactly! So my house in Toronto/Vancouver etc. has gone way up in value...Therefore, I cannot sell it to a CGN'er because if I do I will then be "ripping him off"

And if I do sell my house below value, I "know" that the "moral" CGN buyer will then either keep the "house" forever, or sell it for the same "market stabilized" price, because anything else would be "greedy".

It's kind of disheartening to see people get so hoard focused.

Uhmm, yeah that's right!

Soda pop used to be a nickle a can waaaaaaaaaa. The price of gold went up again waaaaaaaaaa. Capitalism hurts my feelings waaaaaaaa.

Maybe we need the government to set prices or better yet....each should receive according to their needs comrade.

The things is, it's all about value. Straight up, I paid $30 each for all of my PMags (all 30 of them). They are worth more than that to me, much more as a matter of fact. I am not really interested in selling them.

But.

If these mags were worth $100 each to someone else, a deal could be made.

Would I be an :bigHug::bigHug::bigHug::bigHug::bigHug::bigHug::bigHug: for putting them up for $100 each? Would a buyer be ready to that much? Would you fault him for buying them?

How much were the G36 that were sold, originally? No where near the $9000 I bet. Do you think the sellers are :bigHug::bigHug::bigHug::bigHug::bigHug::bigHug::bigHug:s for asking that much?

So why are the PMags so different?

As above, supply and demand.
