Interested in getting a pmr30 .don't know if I should put this in rim fire. . Would like to know your experiences good and bad before I invest in one . Thanks in advance.

Like all KelTec products there is a lot of plastic. And not the good kind like in a Glock... I fired a few mags through one at the range and went home to take a shower. It just felt very cheap, and I found the ergonomics poor.

As you may tell, I'm not a huge fan. AFAIK mags are hard to come by, as is .22WMR ammo (out here in BC anyway). What is it that draws you to it??

I do have a sub 2k and have close to 2000 round through it no problems . Was it hard to find a barrel for it? I like look and feel of it just have not fired one yet

The gun calls to me, has since it was announced; I do like the .22WMR round.

I've tried it out (borrowed at the range), and the build and ergonomics don't suit my preferences (a.k.a., boo on plastic guns). That said, it functioned perfectly a hundred times, I shot it accurately, and the fellow that owns it also hasn't complained. Price is right, so if the design wasn't so hideous I'd have one!

The ammunition situation has improved starting almost a year ago, but it was dry for a couple before that when everybody was hoarding regular .22 and the manufacturers didn't make the magnum. Best is to scope Cabela's or some other big stores, they get some CCI Maxi Mags in the Troy Landry ‘Choot Em’ bulk boxes from time to time, and CCI has held their pricing better than others.

They changed the specification, so the early barrel should only be an issue if you grab it used, no?

If I did buy one, it would be my most serious temptation to remove a rivet…

Long version:

If you lived in States and could use 30 round mags, I could understand having an interest.
With all these other quality firearms available in Canada, why would you possibly want Kel Tec?

Short version:

No.

I have a 22wmr bolt and a ton of cci ammo stocked already. Yes and used i have been contemplating. .. An uncorked mag would be a ton of fun ..... if it was legal and all :) and i hated the 22wmr revolver i had.I have a keltec and have no issue what so ever in 2000 rounds
