Hello , I've just seen one of these for the first time and it is on a SVT . At first I thought it was a OLD probably useless piece of decoration . BUT - it has a rangefinder that is similar to my meopta ZD 6-24
The scope is quite clear ( once lined up ) with nor good eye relief . Chevron markings for yardage , even illumination ! So a Google search tells me these may not be that old ( still available $400 ish ?)

And the side mount fits a rail from a vz !

Anybody use one , any info ?

I will try it out soon , it is quite heavy so not sure how practical it will be .

So far I think it's cool/ goofy , ugly / rugged and a solid mount

More of a red rifle thing because it’s a permanent cut/drill/tap mount that ruins the value of the rifle, but yes, it’s been done. If you go check over on the red rifles page, there are a couple pretty credible SVT to SVD builds (there might be one here too). IIRC, CGN member Teapot2 was selling these back in the day. There are reticles for 7.62x54 R and for x39, SVD and AK type mounts, and a version that sits in standard scope rings as well. Quite a few SKS builds on the US forums, if you want to try something on a much more common rifle.
