PO2 Martin Cashin QM, MBdr Will MacKeigan QM

Congratulations and good shooting to the winners.

On a side note, you forces guys have more acronyms and secret lingo than computer geeks. I do not understand most of the posts in this thread LOL!

Both QM winners are automatically qualified go to Bisley with the CF national team, the rest of the team is selected from the top shots at CFSAC, however operational requirements come first.

LFWA(land forces western area) reserve team won at least 3 slots at Bisley,as well as winning the Soldiers Cup which qualifies us to represent Canada at AASAM in Australia AND the Mobile Command Cup which means we are also representing Canada at AFSAM in Arkansas. We had the first and second top over all(reg force and reserve) Service Rifle shooters, the top military combat pistol shot, the top military sniper shooters ,the top military sniper team, the top service rifle/combat pistol agg as well as many, many individual accolades. It was a very good year!

wait, Will won something? ####, I guess I owe him a beer next time I see him............LOL well done guys!!!!!!!
how did you like how the match was run? Knowing the guys that ran it and the work they put into their proposal, and the fuss it created when they won, I'm curious.

Slavex,

A few hiccups here and there, but overall I was pleased with how things ran.

The RO's on the rifle side were mostly experienced SR competitors, and the pistol side was extremely well run. (Note, this was my first year shooting pistol at CFSAC, so I really don't have anything to compare it against except for my IPSC experience.)

A minor muck-up in the awards (they gave the top Navy Tyro Rifle shot to a MCpl in the army....) but that was due to the guys Team Captain failing to confirm that his shooter was properly registered. The result was that the shooter who actually won was recognized and awarded his gong in the mess that evening by the Col, instead of by the VCDS in front of the awards ceremony.

Oh yeah,

It should also be "PO1 Martin Cashin, QM"....can someone fix that please?
