WOW!! I dint think i have ever seen so many ppl at a steel match, but i guess with the sun out today, it was a good day for shooting

and since it was a nice day and it was a the yearly thank you match there was hot dogs, it was nice to all the familiar faces that i didn't get to talk to at the provincials because i was running around like a chicken with its head cut off.

I dint regret any moment of it. it was a good time.

and for those who where not there, and even some that were there. you missed the sneak peak of the video that was created for the ipsc provincials
and all i can say it wow. its a stand alone video not only for the provincials but for IPSC . this video alone is going to bring new comers to our sport. watch for it. it will be on youtube soon i believe.

and speaking of new comers. NEW GUY today. came in second over all. with a score of 0.01 behind the leader Clint. if this guy is staying in production i think I'm moving to standard :)

i had one good string. i got 2.48 sec on a 5 shot string on range 2. i even surprise my self with that. and sure enough this was not even being video taped. boo:(

well this looks like its turning in to a blog so i will quite there.

see ya all next match. hopefully its sooner then later.

i think we need to start doing winter matches here in the lower mainland.

DVC should get there nice warm place up and running with matches :)

I Know that a couple of ppl had to leave early for a memorial of one of IPSC CANADAS FOUNDERS

Thanks for a great day Pat, I have some head mounted video of me im farting around with now. I'll throw it here soon.

I'm sure everyone there had a good day and the weather couldn't have been better for mid October. Also I'm staying in production, I'm WAY too cheap for Standard.

ah dont thank me, thank norm, he steped up to be new match director and steel match is just step 1 of many. i'm sure we could mold him in to a provincals MD one day :)

if your the new guy, im looking at buying a new gun or looking at a good sporting challange. if i can get back to where i was befor my accident then we could have some fun. and i agree with the weather, the crap we have had latly this was a great day .

I am that "new guy", although I had shot the 2 matches at Abbotsford. In that case then big thanks to Norm, I love shooting steel.

Next time I'm winning, a gap that small is just horrible. I'll see you at the next match!.. as you say the sooner the better.

Edit to add headcam video:

Nice shooting, i can see how you did it, slow is fast - fast is slow, unfortuanly i did a lot of fast is slow today :)
damn those targets look far with that gopro.

I love how far they look. It makes for far more impressive looking shooting. For something so small I'm surprised at the video it put out. I don't even know if I had it set on the higher settings or not. They're certainly interesting and make for some different camera angles.

I may have to borrow it again come time for a match with some paper targets and plenty of movement.
