Podolsk SVT-40 at leverarms

Picture they were using was a stock photo I gather. Phoned today to see if the pic represented the actual rifles. Seems they're the standard arsenal refurb :(...ep'd serials, plum bolt, and completely reblued. Guy pulled the photo down pretty quick after. Still worth it for the price though...

if these have been heavily refurbed, do you think they'll be collectible one day soon, or should I hold out for an original/unrefurbed like I am with my Mosin PU, '49 SKS and '53 Izzy? Lol. Damn unicorns.

FFS, how many guns am I going to buy!!! Podolsk SVT-40 w/AVT stock for $450? Being a refurb doesn't kill it's value?

Any word on how nice the Czech VZ-24 Mauser's are? Anyone buy one or someone local look at these (Podolsk and VZ24)... I like being able to see surplus firearms with my own eyes and pick one out... but this place is 3000 miles away.

It does kill it's value, but it kill's it's value from $2000 (random guess) compared to an unissued Podolsk rifle.

Interesting. Isn't this the place that blew out some surplus rifles at a low price and there were tons of complaints? They were in really rough shape... if my memory is right, I think it was SVT's? Maybe it wasn't Lever?

Another reason why I'd like to see surplus rifles before I buy and not buy blindly online.

Just pulled the trigger on a 1940 Tula SVT-40 with AVT stock and 6 Port Muzzle break from Leverarms , they were getting harder and harder to find so hopefully this will be a fair example of the rifle , pictures and video will follow :)

I ordered a Izhevsk 1940 / Infantry / 6 Port from them on March 30th and they sent me a 1941 / Tula / 6 Port. They didn't contact me before shipping my order and letting me know they didn't have any 1940 Izhevsk so I am not sure if that is standard practice or not but next time I don't think I'll pay the extra $25 for hand select if that is the case. I emailed them about it not to complain but just to inquire about hand select processing and they never emailed me back. Hopefully you have better luck then I did.

All that side, the 1941 Tula they sent me is in pretty good shape, haven't had time to clean it yet though!

Might go a head and order one of these Podolsk SVT-40's

I've had nothing but good service from Lever Arms, I recommend them. I paid for a hand select 1940 Izzy 6 port plus a 1942 4 port Tula AVT marine stock and received exactly what I paid for. Mind you that I placed my order when they still had a healthy supply of SVT 40s and the prices were low...

Based on my previous good experiences, I just purchased a Podolsk SVT and will buy more products from them in the future. I wrote a more detailed account about my purchases in another thread - to sum it up, I can only comment to their on-line mail order service (I've never been there in person) but they are A-OK in my books.

If you have any questions, please PM me.

You guys are killing me, I had one but never fired yet and now this, just ordered another one. Cleaning cosomoline is the fun part but what hard is putting the trigger assembly back together.

Yeah i dont think they have many left , i accidentally put 3 in the quantity box when placing my order and it gave me a warning saying there were only two of this item left . Unless they have this built in to limit the number that one person can order.
