Very nice! AVT stock, such a mean looking rifle in that last pic!

How do you know which is an AVT stock and which isn't? I have no clue how to tell the difference.

Mine is going on the EE for my total cost as I bought 4 milsurp rifles in 2 weeks and this one was an impulse buy (like the others weren't  ). The other ones were in calibers that I already have, this one isn't.

Your VZ24 is a beautiful looking rifle , one of those is next on my list :)

This is the reason why I bought, Podolsk was secondary and looks like it's heading to a new home. Took about 20min for a guy in this thread to buy my Podolsk I just listed. Don't want to jinx myself, it's not quite paid for yet.

VZ24's Bayonet is new in cosmo. Bore has very strong rifling but has a layer of cosmo in it... will run a patch and see what I have. Very happy for the money I spent on it. If there are any more in that condition, snap them up!

I would order one tomorrow but sadly no funds available , hopefully i can find one a couple months from now !!

Thank you. The reason I asked is because stock has 2 cuts and marked with A, I thought it would be possible to see a year under the star, but it's not visible. From what I see it's probably one of the first adaptation of narrow stock to AVT rifles.

No problem , yeah i opted for the (hand select) option i wanted a early Tula with a AVT stock and a 6 port muzzle break, right or wrong its my belief that the earlier produced rifles may have been a little better quality and i wanted a Tula manufactured rifle because my 1935 Hex Mosin Nagant and my 1952 SKS are Tula as well :)

Sorry, I meant ISPEED's SVT. AVT stock has a cutout on both sides (one for safety other for full-auto select). Although I'm seeing different variations of AVT.......the late war AVT's were a noticeably heavier stock especially visible on the sidewalls near the receiver. Earlier AVT stocks had a habit of cracking on full auto. It looks like your stock had cracked and was repaired by arsenal due to that crossbolt above the trigger.
