POF-5PK - Any Chance At All ???

My understanding is they (POF) make a semi-auto only "pistol" that LOOKS like an MP5

i've seen other POF rifles around this site, so i'm not aware of any importing bans on Pakistani firearms

used the search function and couldn't find any other threads regarding this

so what's the verdict?

any chance we could get someone to import this? or is this just another "variant" pipe dream ?
 
It doesn't look like an MP5 it IS an MP5 or semi equivalent.

Pakistan produces HK stuff under license.

But there is a very slim chance in hell. Bill C-42 which will be law shortly (one reading left in Feb then royal accent) will enable politicians to convene OIC's for changes to the list's of prescribed restricted and prohibited firearms. This was included in 42 to enable them to unphuck the Swiss Arms and CZ debacle. When presented examples of how very similar fireams could be non restricted, restricted, prohibited, they were noted for stating that they would do something about that. strong references made to the AR15 being restricted, but why when the XCR isn't. So it's a stretch but since the USC/UMP is not and the SAF is not, it might work to free up the MP5. You never know.

If you strongly love the MP5 and want one for the HK slap, I suggest the USC and convert it to a UMP. I did that.
If you want a smaller gun that is similar to the MP5, I suggest the SAF.
If you want only an MP5 and must live in Canada then buy an airsoft VFC MP5. It is an extremely close gas blow back copy and the price reflects the quality $620. Did it.
You could look into a business licence to sell such items to the government. Your business could have them.
You could look into a licence for a museum. Your museum could have them.
You could have residence in the USA and own it there.
You could buy a deactivated one.
