If you compared the 2 systems side by side the differences to there approach are dramatic the LWR is a much better engineered system when compared to the POF as well on the other board that I am on [not ARF] the incidents of failure using the POF system is astounding the system will not hold up to high round count usage.The LWR from reports I have read is outstanding no failures with there gas system in high round count firings. And this is why I asked the question... to get some feedback from the people that would be making the decisions to buy or not buy.
Frankly, the pricing on the POF sucks... their "dealer price" is not much different than their Retail price... it's a joke. The reason I asked initially was because some months back we had a bunch of e-mails asking us about them... we got an export permit approved by State Department, but I didn't feel comfortable enough with the product to bring it in on "spec" so I figured I'd float the question and see what interest there was.
From the sound of it, the responses have been quite realistic... and fair.
As for comments about Greentips... he tells it like it is... I would expect no less and ask for nothing more. We support the forums because we believe it's the right thing to do... not in exchange for Greentip's (or anyone's) quid-pro-quo.

Sorry for the sidetrack, but do you think there's a chance you'd be able to import Colt's version of the piston AR (LE1020) when it is eventually released? Or is obtaining Colt's LE models pretty much impossible these days?

if you imported it i can think of 4 people in my platoon who would want one but the price might decided if they get one or not.
but i think most would agree go with LWRC i would love to get my hand on a Lwrc srt rifle.
