POI change from changing brass

Yes POI will be different because case volume will be different between brands and even with the same brand having different lot numbers. What you want to do is clock your avg velocity with certain lot of brass. Then when switch lots or brass type try to achieve the same velocity even if it means changing the powder charge a small small amount.

Below a U.S. military Lake City 5.56 case with 30.6 grains of H2O capacity and the same 25 grains of H335 and 6,000 psi lower chamber pressure. And people wonder why reloading data varies........................f:P:2:

So yes different cases can effect the POI and pressure, so can switching from a flat base to a boat tail bullet or changing any reloading component.

Yes, I used Winchester Brass to make up loads, thought about making more of the same with Federal brass and noticed a different POI , more so the groups opened up as opposed to much difference in POI I guess..

Ive used my Winchester brass up an its on the way out so im goin to be loadin up Fed brass again, if I get around too it sooner than later il report back.
