When firing the factory bullets I’m in the black a 100, these are the 123 grain bullets, no problems, When I reload using a 123 grain speer bullet and 26gr of H335 the same results, no problems. But when I reloaded using 150-grain bullets and 16 grains of 2400 no where near the paper of even the screen? The 16gr of 2400 is a recommended load for this bullet weight. It appears that my rounds are falling well short? Does the sound probable? Moved the target in to about 50, same thing not on the paper or the screen? Would there be such a big difference in POI between these two bullets?
 
SKS, 7.62mm,,, barrel twist, Right, 1 turn in 9.45 inches, 20 inch barrel.
Guess what I'm really asking is where should I expect the bullet to travel in relation to the lighter bullet? 123 / 150. I'm pretty much at the max recommended powder charge for 2400 with the heavier bullet.
 
Keep moving the paper closer until you find out where it is hitting. If you are using .308" 150gr bullets they may not work that well in the .310" SKS bore.

Just based on my experience, I would expect the 150's to have a higher POI than the 123's, but that is far from guaranteed.

I thought I’d be high too. The bullets are lead .311 @ 150 grs. I guess I was just surprised not to be on the paper even at 50. I did recover some of the spent bullets in the dirt just short of the 50m target.
