Is there e a "blue book" or some reference other than the current "Gun Digest" for placing a value on firearms in Canada? I have a few, including Sako AII carbine (.243 Win) I'd like to get a current value on.

Thanks in advance for your thoughts.

Blue Book of gun values. It does exist. Try amazon maybe. It has pictures describing condition. I think the prices are USA but guns seem to hold more value then the book suggests. Every gun nut should have a copy

There is no "BLUE BOOK" that applies here in Canada. Gun pricing is a result of experience in my opinion. What sells for a relatively high price in one area may be difficult to give away in another.
American used gun prices simply don't apply here due to a much larger market there. Watch the EE and other used gun sites for a fair idea of what stuff sells for, take note of "selling price" not "asking price" often two wildly different numbers. As far a collectible firearms go, a high condition firearm will always command a premium price and it is worthwhile spending the extra to get one.

This be most true.^^

Thanks Gents. Some useful information here. I keep thinking that if I hold on to the more collectibles in the vault they will appreciate but it's nice being able to quantify the values somewhat.
