poker rally fun shoot in alberta

Last day to sign up. Anyone else as excited as I am?

I'm sure I'll be outclassed when it comes to iron and shooting skill, but I have a tough time saying no to a BBQ especially when I can meet more AB gunnies.

The prizes sure don't hurt either.

Last bump for this thread !!!!!! Today is your last chance to get in on it , bring the family and have some fun shooting and enjoy the pig roast after the Saturday shoot, We have a ton of great gear donated as prizes for this event so come on out and meet everyone !!!

Steve, Thanks to you and the RSO's for the great shoot!
Good course of fire, fun quad trails and a huge prize table!
Thanks to all the sponsors, I ended up winning the Zombie man crate so I'm looking forward to getting that crate open.
And a special thanks to the guys who cooked up the pig roast for us, awesome food guys.

Hope to see everyone next year.

Thanks everyone for coming out and participating. Thank you for all the positive comments. Being able to help Steve put on an event like this was really exciting and I'm glad I could be a part of it. I'm glad that you guys enjoyed it and look forward to doing it again next year. I want to put out a special thanks to Brendan Simpson who was there right from the beginning of setup to the end of tear down. He put in a lot of time and effort with us to get it all set up and hid behind the scenes. I didn't want that to go unnoticed. Thanks to all the other volunteers Bob, Nathan, Jesse, Dana, Tracy, Scott, Jason, Dean, and Patrick for doing up the pig. Sorry if I have left anyone out. And a big thanks to everyone who donated and sponsored the event (some of the volunteers included).

Obviously the biggest thanks to Steve the weeks of preparation and work that went into the event, look forward to the next one!!

An Amazing shoot, Thank you Steve and Shane for organizing and the rest of the RSOs for working their stations!

I was RSO'ing station 4, it was really great to be apart of this shooting event, I'll be there next year forsure.

By the time I got him I was Brunt beaten bruised but I was still smiling from meeting such good people and having so much fun.

And yep my Stock Savage 308 rang the gong at 1200 yards.

BTW $7000.00 dollars in prizes thats insane for a first year. Everyone walked away with something, some people 2 prizes.

I already signed up for next year

For those who did NOT come to this shoot, you missed a great shoot!
The shoot was really well organized, a ton of fun without any possibility of gaming. The guys who organized this and put it on did a FANTASTIC job!
The prize table was loaded heavy too. The pig roast VERY tasty!
For a change Mother Nature screwed up and the weather was great.

My biggest hope is that Steve and the boys do this again, our group for sure will be back should the shoot be hosted again.
Thanks again guys, it was great.

Thanks for the positive comments Rick and thanks for letting me take a poke at 1200m with your Infidel build! Thanks again for donating for the shoot. It was great to see how many people you brought out to the event. Can't wait to put this on again next year...and we will be again for sure!!

Count us in for sure. We all had a lot of fun! I have been to many many shoots over the years and this 1 I feel was the most enjoyable simply because it was laid back and in the end it was the luck of the cards that determined the winner. Apparently Darrel needs to go to Vegas more often!
Competition is all fine, but with it brings some who feel winning is everything. This shoot was more geared to fun for all and everyone had essentially the same chances of winning the nicer prizes. Having swag for everyone was a real nice touch.
The pig just made it even better. Not having to cook dinner after a day of off roading and shooting is just plain nice!!

Looks like I need to by an ATV now..... going to keep this on my radar for next year for sure!

The ATV parts was strictly a bonus to those of us who have 1. The course could and was also accessible by pick up. I think many of us with ATV's ran the course partly on the ATV trail and partly on the truck trails so as to not "have to" contend with the muskeg.
You missed a great shoot.
