hey everyone im putting on a shoot at a local club and wanted to put the game up so that other people can try it out if they like this is how we are doing this one
you shoot from a bench for most of the game
its a texas hold em style elimination tournament
you start with a deck of cards stapled to a piece of plywood the whole deck
1 game is played in teams of two players they take turns shooting and spoting to help game play move and to have fun
2 4 teams play at one time per round
3 you deal to cards to each team. you must use both the cards you are dealt to make your hand
4 one player from each team shoots 1 shot at a card they want then the next team until each team has shot then switch and continue until 8 cards have been hit
5 you can use any of the cards that are shot to make your hand even those not by you (because you are using two decks duplicates dont count in your hand but other players are free to use those cards ex: 4 of hearts in your hand canot use the one shot on the board)
6 a hit must be surounded by paper to count cliped edges dont count
7 if you miss your shot the player to the right of you shoots next and so on until all the cards are hit you do not shoot until you hit
8 the deck that is used to deal hands is not shuffled between hands
9 to advance:
the first two teams to win 2 hands in a round advance. if all the cards are shot and there are not two teams that have two wins the teams with the most wins advance. in the event of a tie a tie breaking shot is taken the amount of targets required to break a tie will be posted and each team will choose who shoots and take 1 off hand shot the closest to center wins and moves on
10 the last round will be played between two teams they will shoot one at a time alternating team mates like before but only 6 cards can be shot per round
11 in the last round one team must win 3 hands to be the victor if all the cards are shot a new board will be put up and hands will be played until 1 team wins 3 hands at this round no tie breakers are played there is simply no point given for the hand in the event of a tie
12 hands are the same as texas hold em poker 5 cards make one hand again you must have both your cards part of your hand and regular rules apply largest pair takes the hand highest straight flush and so on in the even two similar hands are played for identical or equal value hands that a winner cannot be given a tie breaker will be shot to win that hand exept at the final match
if you try it let me know how it goes ive done a small one with buddies and it was awesome a realy good way to make shooting fun and to spend an afternoon outside
