Are you allowed to purchase a Polar bear hide, in Canada.
If so,what's it worth?

Full hide , from inuet.

Sorry if this is the wrong forum but I have no idea where to put this....

And I know I can call the DFO and ask, but just out of curiosity, thought I'd ask here as you guys might know it's cost.

Bigger ones like 9ft + done as floor rugs with head and claws have asking price upwords to 30 K.

Up north you can get smaller ones not done for a lot less. You have to get licence etc. With the fur when you get it. Forget about trying to get it to the US. Even seals are considered endangered there.

Well I'm not sure if they're tanned or raw hide. Only seen a pic of the wolf, it's big, stretched out and has the head.
Told me the Polar bear was big,but didn't say how big. It has the head and claws as well.

Getting a wolf hide tanned is about $300 or so. Polar bear I'm guessing at $1000-$1500 depending on size.

I think you need to get more info and specifics before anyone can give you a realistic price.

BM65..........That is a good deal for both. Once the animal has been processed, as in rugged, which both these are by your description, you may buy and sell at will within Canada. Neither species is considered CITIES 1 in Canada so there is no restriction. Very few COs know the CITIES laws as they are federal and international and do not apply provincially however each province may have it's own permits regarding the sale of game animal parts, so you need to look into this first.
Even a 7' polar rug is easily worth that asking price and the wolf would be a fair deal as the rugging now-a-days will cost $500+ bucks..........if you think you can get a better deal then go for it, you'll never lose your money if they are relatively well done.

They're not finished rugs. Tanned or raw hides apparently.
