Ok, the pic of the wolf looks like a rug. Not sure about the PB

Check with Fur Harvesters Auction in North Bay. They usually have a few up for auction at the fur sales. That would be raw and would need to be tanned for a rug or mounting.

Are you allowed to purchase a Polar bear hide, in Canada.
If so,what's it worth?

Full hide , from inuet.

Sorry if this is the wrong forum but I have no idea where to put this....

And I know I can call the DFO and ask, but just out of curiosity, thought I'd ask here as you guys might know it's cost.

There are a few places in BC that sell Polar Bear hides...
Two on Vancouver Island for example and here being one https://www.furcanada.com/web/browse-category-13-polar-bear-skin-rugs.html
There is another outfit on the Southern End near Shawnigan Lake and a few years a go they where 30k mounted on a rug...
I can not for the life of me recall the name or the address...
Rob.

http://www.blackpowdertannery.com/merchandise.html has a life size mount ready for export....

They're not finished rugs. Tanned or raw hides apparently.

They must be finished rugs..........there is no other way that they are going to have heads in them. I sincerely doubt they will be totally green and frozen with the skull still in..........Even salted and green the skull must be out, what he is describing is two rugs, no doubt in my mind what so ever.

Complete fur, skull out ... some sell the skull separately.

He said "head on", not in. That can mean skinned out.

Here in Nain, 3 people get picked for license to go out & kill a polar bear, same with the other 3 towns along the coast.
Every February.
