Polar Bears and Sled Dogs

Fantastic!
And still so many people who think animals can't communicate with other animals.

Not wanting o burst any bubbles. This is just down the road from my house it is not natural. The bears are fed so fat and happy = less aggression. It has been going on for years. Only a very few bears will do this,he has lost a lot of dogs to bears. Don't be fooled by a few bears when those bears come to my house and meet my dog it is very different.

Thank you for pointing out the failings of this video. If I had two-dogs would think I am picking on him, which I may just be?! cou:

Of course if a picture of a polar bear hugging a sled dog was painted on the remote rez tee-pee it would be 100% true!! ;)

There's mixed feelings around here with respect to polar bears and the Mile 5 dogs. Lots of people who live elsewhere make big money on these bears, so I'm mostly supportive of the local guy who is trying to eek out a living from charging tourists to see and photograph the bear/dog interactions. That said, it clearly leads to habituation, and occasionally to dead dogs, as he can't be there 24-7 to monitor the situation. Since both dogs and bears are fed from the back of a pick-up, those bears want to check out every truck that comes along. Sooner or later someone will have a problem on the side of the road, and one of these welfare recipient bears will appear and a train wreck will follow.

^ oh I doubt that!
It's just that my lil Willy (Wilbert) looks so much like a polar bear. Same ears with the same swirly white hair in them, same color, same black nose, same short snout etc. I'll see if Jr will help me take a snap and post it, when he gets home.
