coltfan, I don't want to hijack the thread by getting into a debate about the social reprocussions of occupational-based discounts... I made my position clear earlier in the thread... Glock makes weapons for Mil/Police, it makes sense for them to give a good rate to members of these forces, many places give discounts for mil - dropzone for one... hell, miltec just sent me a few bottles of some of the best gun oil made,
for free, because they love the troops... want the discount, put your ass on the line!
On a related note, UPS brought me my bundle of joy today... I am the proud new owner of a OD Glock 17! My first handgun
I was in Afghanistan when the Liberals brought out that handgun ban garbage, I was so mad at being on the other side of the world fighting for freedom and democracy while those jokers were trying to subvert the same principals at home. I promised myself that when I got back one of the first things I'd do was renew my FAC / PAL (it had expired a couple of years back) and get myself a Glock. The easy part is done, the hard part (waiting for my ATT to process) has begun... and I have 500rnds in the safe right now!!
Police Ordnance has been great to deal with and are hightly recommend! UPS wasn't as good but a call to customer service fixed that, today they called my cell and I ran home from work to meet the driver, as the previous two times I had missed him and he didn't leave a notice, I started to think they left it on the porch and it got stolen...
