police positive and colt cobra barrel thread

Hi, does someone know if the Colt police positive and original Colt Cobra model barrels can be swapped between the two of them assuming that both are in .38 spl?

The plan would be to buy a 12(7) Police positive and a 12(6) Colt Cobra then build a 12(7) Colt Police Positive sporting a 2" barrel.

What do you think guys? Thanks

They're the same threads. The hard part will be finding a suitable smith. Since Murray Charlton has retired I'm not sure who else I'd trust with a Colt revolver... maybe Dlask?

Had a Detective Special barrel changed by Bits n Pieces in Delta BC, all good.
