Hello,

I would like to know if there's any place that sells the Polish F.B. Radom VIS-35 pistol in Canada. I know that they used to be quite popular in the old days, but haven't seen one for sale recently. Since Tokarevs and other similar pistols seem to be making a comeback (in some dealers' stocks), I was wondering if these VIS-35's are also on the radar or already available.

I'd be interested in any class of F.B. VIS-35 (1, 2 or 3) with the plastic grips. If you happen to have any info on where to find one, please let me know. Thanks!

Radom

The last of Radoms were made (by the 3 Reich Germany) in 1944 at Steyer.
If you are interested in them then there is a quite a lot information about them - just google. I the last five years that I have been following on them on and off the trend I see that the prices are going up.
Just "Search" for Random on the "Exchange of Pistols and Revolvers" forum and eventually you will find one that fits your needs.

And to keep things in perspective - watch the :

http://www.gunbroker.com/

there is alway at least one or two being offered and it will aslo give you a feeling what they are going for down south.

and then there is the "WTB" option.

Thanks guys... I will watch the EE forums then, hopefully I'll see one at some point.

Gunbroker has one or two offered at any given time? Man, yet another reason to live in the States. Thanks again for the advice. :)

Hello do15, The parts diagram show 41 parts http://www.marstar.ca/images/polrad35b.gif
If Marstar have them in stock, you should able to put them together and build the gun. But the cost will become heavy becasue the parts are total about nine hundred dollars not include the barrel and the flame. You may want to contact John at Marstar to he if he can give you a deal on the whole set of parts. Good luck

The Radom VIS was briefly re-manufactured in the early 90's and a very small amount was produced ... in the 10s not 100s.

Serial number 1 was given to Lech Walesa who not having an interest in firearms is believed to have given it away. The remaining ones were briefly available and the going rate was around $5K USD. The eagle was stamped on the slide sometimes unevenly and the overall quality was much lower than that of the pre-war VIS.

A small amount of like-new (refurbished) Radoms was also available in the US for a short time when imported prior to the import-marking law. These are like-new and when I obtained mine I first thought it was a prisitine original.

Lucky guy, lol... I guess that explains your avatar, right? Is your nick its' serial number? :D

Honestly though, I'm looking for a decent shape VIS-35 of an early production, nothing too fancy. We'll see how it goes... Thanks everyone for your input.

Actually, my handle is the patent number for the Radom VIS pistol and the avatar is the eagle from a pre-war VIS.

Makes sense, lol... I forgot about the patent number being printed on the slide. ;)

I have to say though, the more VIS-35 pics I see, the more I'm determined to get one, haha

Very nice pistols indeed and they don't seem to have even one negative critic out there on the net. Everyone seems to love'em!
