Polish M44

Most every Polish M44 I've seen has looked like that.
They typically sell for between $500-$600.
Makes you wonder how much they be worth if there were a lot of worn, abused & modified versions out there...

Did see one on the EE a few months ago that was beat up.. but by far they are the closest you get to new with the M44.

Prices are crazy now

They definitely have... I wonder if they will be like the M1 grands

I owned 6 over the years, the first one I bought in 1985 for 100 bucks, the other ones for $250 and $300.

The last I sold for $700 3 years ago.

They appreciate in value like every Milsurp, because they don't make them anymore.

Look where the prices are going for SKSs.

I wish I picked one up when the opportunity arose last year. A few come and go on EE, but I have invested so much money into other toys, I just don't have room for one anymore. I would probably change my mind if I handled one in person. As other's have said, "they don't make them anymore", and you don't get a nicer MN than that!

So what's a 1951 dated one worth that in pristine condition, still has cosmo in the barrel. First year of production.

The 1953 seems to be most common, if yours is in the same condition as the rifle in the picture, it might be worth at least the same.
However, any gun/item is worth as much as anyone is willing to pay for it.

I was on switzer auction site they have a M44 polish they rate a 9/10 and it is already up to 650$ that I close to $1100 after taxes and fees and there is 12 days left!!

I bought two brand new at LeBaron in Mississauga around 1985 for $80 each. Liked them so much i picked up another 'as new' one about 2 years later. By then the price had skyrocketed to $125. :d
