I've got a pre-war sauer k98 that was gifted to a Great Uncle of mine when he was guiding fisherman in the 50s or 60s, nice bear gun to leave on the porch the stock was whittled down to clean it up at some point and all the hardware has been lost to time... Things sure have changed since those days lol
Polish M44's make fer great woods rifles when tweeked proper. I done this one up around 2008 that shot very well with me handloads & put deer in the larder to boot.
Got the wee beasty from a dealer for $135.00 at the time complete with bayo, sling, oil & solvent tins, ammo pouch and field tool kit. The bugger was made in 1953.
