The MSBS is a 5.56mm rifle being developed to be the Polish military replacement for their 5.56 AKs.

It's main distinguishing feature was it's ability to be converted between conventional and bullpup configurations, however it appears as if they're at least contemplating offering it in other calibers, including 12 gauge, which from the rendering also appears as if it might be convertible between pump and semiauto;

I'd definitely like me a modern box mag fed shotgun, I've heard that Beretta is considering offering a 12 gauge version of their ARX but is hesitant on account of not wanting to hurt sales of their existing tube fed guns, perhaps having some similar alternatives offered by competitors would cause them to reconsider?

Yup, the article says that a smooth bore 12g version is on product roadmap. The rendering is a registered industrial design...whatever that means :)

The shotgun variant is probably years away, but it's good to see someone other than the Turks working on a modern box mag fed shotgun.

The MSBS is a huge thing in Poland. One of the guys I met at Shot Show said it's effectively their equivalent of the F35. Huge features list, limited deliveries, and skyrocketing costs.

I think its a great concept. Problem is I just want it to stop being a concept and start being something real.

Knowing Polish arms industry it may be a concept for a long time. Lets hope it does not become one of "on the Radom's shelfs" "Eternal Concepts"
