I tore down my Ruger MKIII for a good cleaning today so I figured I would polish it up while I had it apart. Let me know what you think.

Wow nice!! That grip looks interesting..is it standard? I have a MKIII 22/45 and its nothing like that! Would you have trouble holding it with your left hand?

I used felt wheels on a Dremel for the tight areas, and my buffing wheel on the car polisher clamped in a vice for most of it using a metal polishing compound with both tools.
The grip is after market Volquartsen, it can be used left hand but its not very comfy.

I also polished the feed ramp and the bolt seems like the bolt is smoother but unsure if polishing the feed ramp will help with anything as it didn't have any cycle issues before.

It took around 2 hours to complete I had to remove sights and do a complete tare down, some small things like mag release and bolt release had to be removed as well. Then there was a detailed cleaning to get the excess polish off and other normal grime as well.
I am quite happy with the results time well spent.

I don't care for that sort of thing, but that's just a matter of personal taste, and it's your gun. I can certainly see that you've made a good job of it.
