Poll- Best .357 Revolver-Colt Python Or S&W Model 27

I owned a Python and now I own S&W. Guess which one gets my vote.

Had 2 pythons, both went out of time.I dont think i will have another.
Had two S@W 27's, Sold my 2 1/2 inch. Still have a 6 1/2 inch. Wish I had kept the 2 1/2 inch.
Python's are for posing Smith's are for shooting.

I have two Pythons and two 27's (and a 28 just because). I would say the pre-war 27 and the early Pythons are about equal. Personally I prefer the Python, and wish to god they had released the 41 Mag version. As to the trigger, the Python has the best factory DA trigger I've ever tried (and I own and have owned a great many DA revolvers), and I had one that was worked over by a gent stateside who has since passed on that had a wonderful SA/DA trigger set up, like smooth glass. As Colt basically pushed itself out of the market, the S&W pretty much owns the field now. FWIW - dan

Smith 27 get my vote, especially a 5 inchers...if I can find another one, be sure it will be a keeper!

I like the Python for casual shooting but all the accessories are available for the smith revolvers
