I'm kinda B & C also.
I don't advertise it but I'll talk hunting and shooting with anyone if the topic pops up.

Couldn't vote using the poll either though.

I used to be one to broadcast this aspect of my life openly and debate it ardently. However recent events with respect to my interactions with undesirable life forms have made me reconsider how I approach my ownership of firearms when dealing with others. Let me just say that life has taught me to keep this as well as all other aspects of my life very personal and closely guarded. A good colleague of mine from work has always been a very secretive person. It took her over a year to open up with me. As I have now known her since 2002, I now know more about her personal life than anyone else at work. We used to travel on business together and she finally came to trust me. She knows a fair bit about my personal life as well. Although this has worked fine with her, it has not been a good thing when it comes to others I have crossed paths with - particularly through work. My words of advice to everyone are: BE CAREFUL.

Most people know I own guns....I dont mention it in interviews or anything like that, but most people eventually find out.

When people ask what Im doing on the weekend, I'm not afraid to tell them I'm going to a shooting match

Most people i know, know that i own guns. It's not a really big deal where i live. Pretty much everyone owns them or is related to someone that owns them. It's not really a big deal around here. So, I'd vote C.

You'll never tempt any ignorant liberal city people to come into the light if you hide the subject of guns like that. Be not ashamed...;)

It's not a matter of being ashamed. It's a matter of protecting your *ss from dumb mean spirited sub-humans. Have you ever found out how difficult it is to get along with lefties/libs and just how vindictive they can be?

All I can say is you live and learn the hard way sometimes.......

Family and friends only, but I am sure my immediate neighbours are aware as they have seen me carry my cased goodies (I wish gun cases were made to be of low cost and discrete).

We are all on very good terms, so it is not a worry for now. In fact, I have made inroads with them regarding gun ownership for themselves.

In my former neighbourhood, it most likely was not good for people to know you have firearms, (lots of addicts just waiting for a chance to fence stolen goods). Then again, they would never try anything while you were home for fear of being shot!

In my present neighbourhood (much more upscale), the threat lies mostly with Liberal/NDP banner types, but it is OK because I now have $$ to sue them (and they have the $$ to pay me) when/if they make false or slanderous claims.

I realize there are always exceptional circumstances. While I don't mean you, there are some gun owners that are needlessly paranoid such that if they reveal to anyone their freedom habit, they fear being burglarized, tortured and killed later that day.

It won't let me vote either but I would say a #### load of people know I have guns because I spend a lot of time at the shooting range and I work in the industry so all the people I deal with through work would know. But no one knows where I live.
