I think the surplus will be available forever, I mean there are still stockpiles and stockpiles of 70's, 80's and 90's that have still yet to be touched. 7.62x39 round will always be in abundance. And it's great to see how many people actually own SKS's, I think I will be purchasing another SKS just for the hell of it

I have a Russian izzy refurb and a chinese military ala marstar (both from weimajack). They are both great, but the accuracy of the chinese is excellent!It is my fav right now, and except for wolff springs and a recoil buffer is completely stock.

never even held one before, don't live anywhere that ammo is gotten for less than an outrageous amount. (NWT, shipping is criminal) so for that reason, I've never persued to own one. I may in the future as I won't live here forever, but this is pretty much a "meat and potatoes" town for caliber selection.

Sks come and go. Its like a revolving door some days. Only my Yugo doesn't get sold or traded.
