Poll: knife carrying

I can't carry a pocket knife at work (safety policy) but I always have 2 exacto knives in my pocket at work... apparently they are not as dangerous. ;)

God that sucks

I've recently bought a coworker a Ontario Rat 1 in D2 to carry around at his new job.

And my other coworker carries the Ganzo I got him on his safety vest at chest level.

Some nice things about being an electrician. You always need a knife. I've even got through security at Amazon with my Endura because it's just a tool.

Stay Sharp Guys

Always have a knife. Personal and at work.
You never know what you’ll need it for.
Packaging and box opening on a regular basis.
Usually a Hogue or a Spyderco.

Grandpa, dad, myself and my two boys all carry knives. Mostly for emergencies IE I have to cut a persons set belt to get him out of a car that rolled end over end 4 times then caught on fire (engine).
Oh and yes of course he was drunk and drove straight threw a 90 deg left turn.

Every day, Gerber multi-tool Is my choice and I own a few. Besides a blade I use the tool part a few times a week. When I fly it’s in my checked bag and soon in my belt when I can. Been doing this for almost 25 years

Always. Can hardly think of a day when I don’t use it for something. A few years back I was in a Rona store and I pulled it out to open a box on the loading dock so I could fit it in my truck a bit easier. The young employee standing there just about had a stroke when I pulled it out.

All the time. I live in the country so a knife is a given, no different than a gun. It's an invaluable tool for us.

Also, with all the child trafficking out there I want the means to protect my kids. And of course, cheesecake. 😉

That is some funny and sad ####!

1) Yes, I do take part in this time-honored tradition for men throughout history. Thank you Romans - for the invention of the folding pocket knife.

2) Why you ask? Because it is a very useful tool and essential tool for everyday life - you can use it to for cutting rope/strings, opening envelopes, slicing a piece of fruit and if I have no other option - cutting/opening E.E purchased boxes/toys. :)

I'm a Rednek ( we don't spell it the same as the freaking liberals do ) and proud of it. I always have a knife...always; except for dealing with flying or something.
Right now I've a Tree brand, Sloingen made...was my Grandmother's. Yep, you read that right. For a country fella to not have a knife ( or a firearm of some sort as well) is a rarity.
For the same reasons as above.
I've worked for outfits that forbade carrying a knife...f**k that. Noble drilling seemed to think we shouldn't and passed policy on it.
"Really? You want me to work offshore but not to carry a pocket knife?
I don't think so 'Ken' mind your own business..."

I always have at least one on my person. In addition to being a cutting tool I often used them for prying and reaching into small spaces.

I would feel naked without a blade and a flashlight.

Been carrying a pocket knife since the mid 60s. All through school, no problems. Now I carry a Victorinox Rucksack, it has every thing including a corkscrew!

As a HD tech I have carried one most of my life. swiss army and then a leatherman. You would be surprised how often They come in handy when you discover you need something that you forgot to bring or don't want to climb down and up the darn ladder. I have taken apart whole dashes and repaired heaters/lights wiring issues with my leatherman. never leave home with out it.
