poll...on a bubbaed sks, to blue or not to blue?

Good, DO IT IF YOU WANT ! :)

I have a 51R Tula, i dropped in the ATI, cold blued my bolt, looks nice, i blued the front end where it was wearing, I did a black spray paint job on the ATI tock to make it look better than straight plastic, I also used the Tapco 5/20 in the mag, Havent modded my original stock for the detachables though, not yet anyway. I have a muzzle brake on it as well as a foregrip and a bipod. I tried to do a cold blue job on the Bayo but it didnt seem to take, whatever the bayo is coated in , maybe spray paint at some point too. The original stock, i want to take some pics and put up when i get the time, I was going to use the Black satin poly shade Minwax and do all black, then decided to change it to golden oak glossy. Duct taped off some of the black i wanted to keep, used the stripper again and did the rest. Result is a cool looking 1 of a kind finish that looks almost tiger stripy. I will show it off when i get to take some pix. But Mod what you want, its your gun. Enjoy how you like. I want a nicer SKS though for stock and pretty looks anyway. But my first 1 will be my project do anything rifle

An SKS will shoot in spite of just about anything you can do to it. Easy Do it yourself projects are easy on the wallet. Just remind yourself that any mods you make to a $200 rifle, your rifle is still worth $200 regardless of what you put on it.
