I didn't vote because my particular issue wasn't one of the selections.

My M&P ruined shooting for me shortly after I bought it. Purchased it new at my club & proceeded to run a coupla boxes thru it. Never, ever jammed, but after 50 rounds, the mag fell out. Figured it had to be my hold, then it fell out again after 10 rounds. And again....

Long story short, Ville St Pierre replaced the mag release spring 3 times over a two month period before the problem was solved for good. But for the longest time afterwards, whenever I'd shoot the M&P, I'd flinch in anticipation of the mag falling out. I must have fired 400 rounds total before finally accepting that the problem was solved for good. I am glad that I bought it at VSP, though. Otherwise, the gun would have spent more time in transit to S&W than in my hands.

Having said that, the gun is sinfully incredible for the $$. It points better than most of my other handguns, is way more accurate than I and even the trigger is one that I have no temptation to #### with. If it had a decoker, it would be my primary housegun!

It is nice to shoot.

but S&W QC is not up to par with Glock. Period. Don't have the illusion you are getting a bomb proofed pistol.

Mine is accurate and runs flawlessly. Looking for another. Stevo if you read this tell "B" I am looking for another M&P if the price is right. Problem I have is I may have to switch to the M&P for IDPA.

I've had no problems with the firearm itself, but man do the 10-round mags ever suck. Are pinned full-capacity mags available anywhere?

I have to use a wrench to remove my palmswell retaining pin, too damn tight to remove with fingers!
Mine are the same but after you figure out what size you want how often do you really need to take it out? I would rather have it tight than loose.

Also, I thought the mags were way to hard to load, bought a mag loader "Up Lula" or something like that, makes reloading the mags a lot easier.
I don't find them nearly as bad as Glock mags (friend's) but use the UpLula also. Uplula is the only way to go with double stack magazines.

...fired 300 rounds, not one problem...this gun is soooooo hot!!!!
If you slow down and take a break once in a while it won't get nearly that hot!

I've had a few light firing pin hits during matches. I don't think it has been the ammo as it works fine in a 1911. Will see if it goes away or happens on the M&P.

Also, had some feeding problems with some LSWC reloads. Haven't really bothered to investigate more. Works fine with FMJ.

Mine came back form MD with a new extractor. 200 rounds with no failure - yeh hahah, start choking like a gagged gimp at the 250th.

I am going to call S&W today and see what they are going to do with their M&P.

If i am a M or P, I will be DEAD in the street with these failure to extract.

I want to get rid of it , but I won't be in good conscience to sell this to anyone on EE. A 650 dollars lesson.

I called Smith and Wession - and I got the name of the person and I gonna make the repair center to replace the barrel.

I hate American companies - they are making consumers as the QC specialists, and waste our time to send defected products back and forth. This is the 3rd time - if they had just replaced all the vital part in the first run, it would have save a lot of everyone's time.

I am basicly subsidizing their QC program with my time and money.

I have an N-stamp M&P 9 with about 6K rounds through it. I am concerned about this wear to the locking block and barrel lug.

Is this normal ?

That sure doesn't appear normal to me. I would send those piccs off to S&W and ask them. Something appears to be out of whack to be causing that much damage.

i have had no issues with my mp9.got a thousand rounds through it no prob.even had it drop on the ground and get kicked 5 feet by me.fell out of my holster when i was on the run to the next station and it bounced on the ground and then i booted it..dusted it off and checked barrel for any #### in it and away it went still eating my ammo supply up.i think the 45 version is next for me.

I jsut called the repair depot and they, in principle, agrees to replace the barrel.

So I have spent 120 dollars on shipping already.

Smith and Wesson CEO and their Board of Directors will each get a nice letter about the quality of their products.
