Just wanted to post my experience shooting lead in my Tanfoglio .40cal Model "L". After over 1,000 rds I have yet to experience any leading. I shoot 125 gr Truncated Cone lead cast bullets made from water quenched wheelweights lubed with a soft lube. I know lead and the Glocks don't go together in this caliber but the Tanfoglio handles lead with no problems in my gun.

What velocity are your loads? I've seen lots of people shoot lead in polygonal bored guns with no big issues.

Even in the Open guns it's no problem. the comps get lead in them but they do in any gun. Only issue really is smoke.

Top end load was 1150 fps. My IDPA load runs 750 fps with no leading in either.

Is your IDPA load a 125gr bullet at 750fps ?.
