I'm looking for well-priced double stack pistol magazine pouch (Walther P99 9mm). I would like to be able to use it for IPSC/IDPA if I want to try that out, but will mostly be used for range fun. I'm more into becoming proficient with standard/duty/tactical type gear so not looking for anything race. Looking at the Blade Tech revolution double right now. Any suggestions?

Edit: I originally specified Kydex...I think I just mean polymer, and I think I want at least some retention.

Yes, I use 2 sets of holsters and mag pouches from solelycanadian.com for IDPA. Check them out.
OK

The Bladetechs are fine for IDPA. A lot of people use them. They are common and not too pricey.
Like okcorral said, SolCan is good also. G-Code, Raven also make fine ones.
I don't fuss too much over mag carriers. They all work basically the same. Just make sure the mags don't fall out when you do the inverted shake test and you're good. I worry more about the holster.

Oh yeah, one more thing. Make sure you always put your mags in the holder the same way. So when you reload, muscle memory takes over. I always go bullets forward for handgun and bullets back for rifle. It's my way and I do it all the time. Whichever way you go, stick with it.

I should have been more patient and asked about the holster too....but got excited with the gun purchase and started pressing "buy now" buttons...

I got an Uncle Mike's 53291. Thought I was buying the 54291. Not sure what the difference is between them. Older version maybe?
