While i do not disagree, it all depends on the individual's motor skill and paw size. Some find them very useful, some do not. For me as an example, the finger groove on the OE frame was a major issue for me as i have meaty fingers, the rest didnt do much for me as the under actually makes my hand or rather web of my hand sits too high to grip the gun properly. My wife however needs those as she has small hands.

To each of their own, study and review what works best for you and go from there. Hence why i said, it is a base platform for people to start cutting and modding the frame to their liking. If you screw up, at least it isnt the OE frame, and it minimizes your loss.
 
Is it just me or would these be more tempting if there were more affordable slide options? I really like the idea of building one of these but with only one slide option that less then $800 it makes building one slightly less tempting. We’ll slide you guys currently have listed atleast.
 
I second that any chance that you guys will have the Brownells Glock slides available at some point?

I don’t think you’re looking at this the right way. I’m looking to build an Agency Arms or Zev gun for far less than what one costs on a Glock lower. If you look at it like building a factory Glock then yes having slide options that are far more than a complete Glock makes it hard to swallow. There are less expensive slides out there. Brownells has their own slides that are very affordable. Have fun build something cool out of it.

I’m looking at roughly 700 bucks once my frame gets here,using a brownells slide and agency arms barrel.

I hate the feel of a factory g17/22

The frame shape is fantastic on these so it’s more a “different strokes for different folks” deal then anything
 
By far my new favorite HG. This is my 3 gun / IPSC open gun this year.
Brownells slides are great for the money.
Only 1500 rounds fired but running 100%

No I understand that aspect of building one of these that you both get to build it your self, and build it the way you want from the ground up so why not go all out. I also like the idea of doing a fun affordable build for my first build of this kind. But I am not opposed to going all out on it either like an agency build. Just part of me wishes there were a few more affordable slide options here in Canada. With the Brownells slide I have not honestly looking intot them completely yet just their price point and knowing what they are. The importing aspect for a build like this well I’m not sure what they fall under. And then you ad from what I’m lead to believe is usually $200 fee for doing the importing on top of the affordable price goes up. If they fall under parts that need more exporting documentation. I also ask because I like to support Canadian business when I am able if they carry parts I want or they are able to get the parts I would like. But I’ve been looking at these for a week or so, and think I’m going to go ahead and start building one. Just got Glock 17 5gen love it now I want to build one of these more and more !
 
Just curious is the process of ordering a Brownells slide pretty easy? Sorry for my ignorance as I’m not sure what parts like this fall under or need for exporting to Canada. Also this is pretty much the kind of build I have in mind as well.. I love this build looks great!!!

order the slide you want, submit order , sandy sends you EUC, you sign EUC, she releases it in the system for processing, you get it in 1.5 to 2 weeks.

I usually spent more time trying to figure out how to keep it under $500 USD and what colour my AR/ pistol build will be than filling out the form. The EUC form takes literally 15 seconds to do.

Suggestion, fill out all your personal info on the EUC, save it and then fill out the rest of the form, that way you can reuse the form over and over again. Oh and choose Parcel Post mail international as shipping method, DO NOT PICK UPS!!!!!!! i freaking warned you! lol
