Does anyone had problems reinstalling the rear sight ? I followed a couple of videos on youtube and when i think i got it after couple of shots it goes loose again... Starting to really pissing me off... I took it off to install a rail for scoping it without succes my receiver is offset and not able to zero a scope on that.. I tried several different rail and no succes.. So i wanted to keep it with the iron sight.. And damn still having problem... I love the rifle and it shot great when it has the irons.. Some advice please
 
I'm presuming that you've already ensured that the screw in the elevation/windage barrel is tight. If the screw itself is stripped, PM me and I can send you Norc replacements. USGI replacements are also available...from Treeline I think.
 
They can be a pain in the a55 to get back together. The trick is lining up the notches on the underside of the aperture piece with the notches on the elevation shaft. You can try sliding the aperture up and down a little by hand and turning the dial slightly to try and get them to line up and then the elevation shaft should push right through and seat itself flush with the receiver.

In all honesty Sir, do yourself a favour now before wasting effort and stress and get a USGI surplus set or an M1A assembly complete.
If it's not busted yet, it will be eventually. Not to mention the elevation screw coming loose etc etc
It's one of the very few weak points of the Norc M305. It was one of the few "upgrades" I ever did to mine. No need for crazy fancy sight set, just a stock condition USGI or Springfield set. They will fit your receiver with little to no grief.
I always used irons on mine. It's a great rifle with one of the best iron sights ever put on a rifle. The AR15 A2 style sight system being a bit better/adaptable/versatile in my humble opinion.
 
Im going to try another norc set if i got no results or the same i already have it will be an option.. Or i'll sell it as is and buy shorty version, i've been looking to them lately..
 
Which part is becoming loose? The windage or elevation?

Did you properly tighten the screw in the elevation knob (left hand side)?
 
The elevation came loose, and yes it was well tightened, it looks like the screw and cam are not well machined, like the tolerance are way out and it seems to skip

Just to be clear: you are holding the elevation drum (dial) still with a vice clamp or channel lock (with a leather strap to protect the finish on the dial) as you tighten the screw, right?
