Ponoka 3-gun shoot is now 20 Oct

The Ponoka 3-gun shoot for the fall has been rescheduled to the 20 Oct since it conflicted with WRAS/IDPA/IPSC matches. There are 24 spots for this match. Pre-registration is important to ensure you get a spot. Visit the Ponoka Fish and Game Association website to get the match instructions, registration form, joining instructions, etc. Email at robertpaddon@hotmail.com to reserve a spot.

The match will consist of 12 stages. We start on time at 10 AM and should be finished by 4 PM. For the Calgary guys it is just a short 2 hour drive. We are just north of Ponoka just off Hwy 2 so we are easy to find. Bring lunch and snacks with you.

So far we have 13 out of the 24 spots for the match filled. Preregistration is easy, email me at robertpaddon@hotmail.com.

We have 18 out of 24 positions for the shoot filled. We shoot rain, snow, sun, etc. We can shoot most of the match from under cover. I will bring the stove so we can have hot chocolate and coffee. I will also bring the propane heater so if we need to warm up we can. Now the choice what guns will I use for this match, M14, AR15, M1 Carbine, M1 Garand, SKS. Thankfully I have a week to decide.

The weather looks just above zero for the 3-gun match on Saturday. Dress warmly. I am bringing the coffee water and heater. We will be shooting. We can also use our warm barrels to keep warm. Damm the weather bullets will fly.

We had snow on the ground and the weather hovered at 0 Degree Celisus. We had fun shooting. thanks to Sam, Mike and Greg for stepping up to do RO duties. thanks for everybody else who helped to scorekeep and make the shoot a fun event. Our cleanup took about 5 minutes with everyone helping. thanks for making this match a success. See you in the spring for our next match.
