1. So what's your process for fl resizing exactly?
A: I use an arbor press. Lube the case with a thin film of lube, press the case into the die.
2. What's your lube of choice?
A: for this task LEE Resizing Lube, works as well as anything I've tried. Imperial Wax has a good reputation as well, I've used it, it works too.
3. What's your method of extracting the shells?
A: Use the rod to push the case out. I drilled a hole in the plate for my press to push the case out.
You may be able to use a bench vice, or a wooden block and a hammer, but IMO you will not be successful. i have a few dies that have been wailed on, seriously smacked repeatedly with a large hammer, which would indicate to me, unsuccessful atempts at resizing shells. Lyman has great designs but their quality control and attention to specifications has always been poor. Like I said before, my 308 die is grossly undersize. I have other Lyman equipment, and it has many issues. They (Lyman) are good at sending out new parts, which is good.
4. How often do you fl resize? How many uses of the brass do you get, or what are your tell tale signs that it's time to resize?
A: I just collect these, as a hobby. I've reloaded a shell or 2 with each die set I own, if I shoot that caliber. I have FL resized a few cases to see how they work. I did however use the 35 Rem FL resizer as I was having some issues with headspace. Years back "they" advised FL sizing if the cases were hard to chamber or extract.
5. Do you still need to neck resize after you've fl resized?
A: You may, I've found a few sizers that didn't size the neck sufficiently. Probably not though, but you will have to expand the neck.
I had a look at your picture again, sure looks like the small handle to me, but it's hard to be sure without the other handle to compare to.

Like I said before, I collect these, but don't use them very much at all. They are like a trip back in reloading time. I have set up my Tru-Line Jr presses with 7/8 turrets and set them up for specific calibers, used them and then they sit in the corner. They do the job, but I prefer the function and feel of my other presses. I have a RCBS RockChucker, a Lyman T-Mag II turret, a Redding UltraMag, and a RCBS Summit.
