I have know for some time that my dominant eye was weak, I had no idea how bad until this weekends range session.

I have been shooting my 93bsev in 22mag recently. With a trophy xcr 6-18 I can post under an inch @50 yards in less than ideal condition with cheap cci Troy laundry ammo. Not great shooting maybe but that's where my current skill level at -12 outside.

On an sks I have a little 2x leupold ler scope and was shooting 6" groups at 50. My problem is that the target is just 5 red blurs that I try to centre on. I had assumed it was more the rifle than anything but my buddy shot 2" groups. He has never shot a rifle before...

Fooling around a bit today, anything past about 10 yards and my eyesight deteriorates, I don't want to be "that guy" with more scope than skills but I'm starting to think I don't have a choice.

I have tried glasses but so far nothing has helped correct the problem.
If no one has any other suggestion.... I geuss its big scope time?

Do you have an astigmatism? I have a slight right eye astigmatism that doesn't matter much with a regular scope, but makes long eye relief scopes unuseable for me. A big blur.

I got my eyes checked and found out the degree and direction of my astigmatism. Then i went on "eyebuydirect.com" and got some cheap glasses made by just plugging in the astigmatism values, not the regular correction factors. My shooting improved immediately. For like $30, I'd try that first.

In 10 years when the astigmatism gets worse, I'll get lasik.
