i have got into the habit of not selling any firearms since i regretted selling a fine O/U beretta
so i had my remington 700 in 223 sitting around doing nothing since i bought my HK SL8.
i had a fumble through my 223 stash and had some odd bits, some store bought, some hand rolled.
so i decided to see how some of these rounds performed through the old semi retired girl.
i am looking at smacking some yotes with the rifle later on.
so,here we have my heavy barreled remington 700 in .223 with harris bipod and a meotpa 4x12x50.
i have had the rifle now close to 12 years now,i have put no more than 500 rounds through her.
this was my favourite foxing rifle with a T8 reflex sound mod back in the UK.

so first target and a good friends hand rolled 55gr ballistic tipped
dropped 5 rounds at the paper at 100 yds
for some reason the photos have got phucked up off the iphone so they need rotating 45degrees clockwise

so next selection of ammo, store bought 55gr remington soft points.i dont have 20 of these so i dropped 3 rounds down the range
again rotate photo 45degrees clockwise

and finally, some 55gr hand loads of another member here who wanted rid.
i dont have too many of these so dropped 4 down the range.
again rotate the photo 45degrees clockwise

so i know which rounds i am going to be using.i am suitably impressed that this rifle is still rock steady
with the right ammo thrown down her.
i am really looking forward to yote season now
