What do you make of this?

With my brand-new XCR I tried five different types of ammo. Out of the five only one worked reliably. (American Eagle 55g FMJ)

The rest all had major primer pops and misfires! I contacted the factory but they don't seem to be in a rush to get back to me.

lol

Well makes you wonder if anyone else is having the same problem on the net, have you tried researching the problem, or at least emailing the company to see what they say?

Do all the popped primer rounds fire, or some misfire? do you get gasses shooting out the port or what? just curious on that last question

we need more details as to the ammo, before I could comment. Pics of the fired ammo -- primers, and case neck as well. What is the gas setting at?

I have an XCR, and shoot the snot out of it. Mine is quite reliable. GS4 = throw the brass to the tree line. GS3 = throw it 3m away.

shmelmafinga, checked your XCR and have isolated the problem, it was not the ammunition. The bolt face around the firing pin could stand to be smoother, some pertrusion in that area. Sould be fixed fairly shortly and back to you.
Cheers,
Wolfgang.
