Hey folks,
New to the forums here at CGN. Looking for some info on the hunting around porcupine hills in the 305 WMU.
I've lived in AB since 2007, previously from BC where I grew up hunting but this is the first year I've gotten serious about hunting in AB since I've found the regulations and the multitude of WMU's fairly daunting...

Anyone know about posted land/private property, open access crown land in the porcupine hills region? I've driven through countless times and I've never been able to find much info on it on the interweb..
I've got hunting holidays this week coming up and I wanted to explore down in that country since its fairly close to Cowtown; any info would be greatly appreciated..Thanks a ton!

theres a link on the ab.gov website that might be aable to help. it shows you all corwn, private, lease land all that and if you clocik on a specific quarter or section it will give you the contact info for who ever owns it or leasing it. and it also shows crown land. ill try and find the link for ya

Thanks YGF!
I did abit more digging on the AB website you mentioned. Shows up as green and whited out blocks when your using the 'dart' tool it seems. I'm seeing contact info now for the green areas but the whited out areas around Indian Graves and soforth I am taking it are open for business so to speak? Wouldn't need any contact info etc to access that land?

Sorry for the no0b questions but I do find the regs to be abit vague sometimes..

As soon as you enter the Forestry reserve you are on crown land. There are big signs on the side of the gravel road.

On that website, white means that's it's not lease land. It could be privately owned or crown.
