Port Alberni Action Pistol shooting

I recently bought an acreage in Port Alberni and love action shooting I'm however not seeing any clubs within an hour and twenty minutes of my place where anyone is doing IPSC, Multi-gun or Steel Challenge. I'm interested in starting an Action pistol club in the new year. I've been in contact with the local wildlife federation and will be discussing this further in the new year. I already have some Steel Challenge targets and a few IPSC type target stands built.

My question is:

Are there others in the Port Alberni area who already compete or may be interested in getting together for some IPSC/Steel Challenge type shooting?

If you are interesting in doing IDPA shooting I can give you some ideas on how to get going. I have been setting up IDPA in Ponoka AB for the last three years.

You don't need much in the way of targets and props to get going. I have various stages of fire I can share with you.
