Ported Marlin 45-70 Guide Gun

I hunt with a ported guide gun - I have only fired it 20 times while hunting or so without plugs - no big deal for me but it was for the guys and the hounds - at the range I use plugs and no one has complained (yet) - it’s a trade off - same noise level as a 300 mag but recoil of a 243

From what I hear, the Ruger made, "Muger" are a better gun than late JM and especially remlins. Given the stupid prices for these, if I was doing it today, I would wait for a ruger made rifle. Price is going to be comparable to the JM premium of today's used market. I just don't think any 1895g is worth the price, whatever version. It just comes down to the cartridge.

Think your math is off
1000$ US is approximately 1350$ CDn

Not considering our comparative markets... pricing is through the roof in the USA, if you watch the firearms trading sites (GB, GI, GA etc...) you will see that guns that sell for $1000 USD sell for $1000 CDN here in Canada. Supply and demand being what it is... that is why, alot of sellers here in Canada will quote a US price and then add the currency exchange, as it inflates the price for the Canadian market.

I’m willing to trade your Muger for my Ruglin straight across.
