Porting a Tokarev slide ? DONE

I have had several hand guns with ported slides, and was impressed with them.
The Tokarev is a copy of the 1911 & they port them with no issue.
So, if you can do a 1911..why cant you do a Tokarev ?
Lets keep this thread "technical"

I am going to do mine, there is no doubt about it. Just" how " is the question. Thats where YOU chime in. Once I have done it, I will post range results. Some one had to do it ! Ill be that guy. I have access to a CNC

There are a few reasons ...it could keep the muzzel flip down to a minimum . This really helped on a 357 I had. model 608.

had a glock that was ported & it worked extreamly well. Plus it hasnt been done before to my knowledge. I am thinking TOP porting might be the way to go. I dont know.

should be interesting for night time picks.

well crap......wont be heading to the range for pics........Under close inspection....I see my firing pin is BROKE !! I thought I had a spare...No luck. Does anyone got one I could get ??? and the guy I bought it from said it ran flawlessly ,,Hmmmm LOL

I’d be concerned about burrs obstructing the barrel. How did you address this?

I looked last fall for one could not fine a source in Canada but did get one from Numrich but it was there last one in stock I did want to get a spare. I just ran a brass cleaning brush on the end of a drill through the barrel a bunch of times. Used my bore light......looks clean to me. zero flash.
I sooo wanted to set up the video camera & blast a mag through it this evening.
people get to worried about doing stuff like this. worst case scenario..... I messed up the barrel on a $200 gun LOL Best Case...it holds the front down & Looks Fantastic !!
