Haven't shot it yet, but I highly doubt it can be any worse then the 597 I had.

As much as I hate Ruger as a firearms company, I'd rather buy from them and have something that works VS supporting a company that makes junk.

Looks Identical to my gun even the scope rings are the same.. only thing is I dont have the bipod how did you attach it?

so what was wrong with the 597?

Long story, but I had a TVP which Remington claims is their "top of the line" rimfire semi-auto and I was getting basketball sized groups @ 15M. I got my money back and got this instead.

it was a shotgun...!

good choice on the 10/22, tried any groups with it yet?

i've got two of them, and i like them, you might have to fiddle with them a bit to get the best out of them, but alot of it you can do yourself! have fun!

No, haven't shot it yet. Sunday I'm going to go out. :D

Welcome to to the "10/22 Nation"...;)

:)

The bipod I have (forget who makes it) attaches to a threaded stud with a hole through it.

All I did was take the smallest stud I had available (maybe 3/4" long), drilled a hole in the stock more or less where I thought it should go and then thread the stud into the hole. It's quite solid in the synthetic, so I'm not overly concerned about it, but I do think that it would be stronger in a wood stock.

I used "Uncle Mikes" studs and they are just a type of quick connect system. I push a button on there and this little piece rotates over and I can push the male end through the stud that's in the stock.

I can take pictures if you guys want.
